The Gagliardo family's story is rooted in a legacy of winemaking that began in Piedmont's Langhe region in 1847. In 1973, Gianni Gagliardo established the modern winery, and today his sons Stefano, Alberto, and Paolo carry on the family tradition as the sixth generation, actively involved in every aspect of the estate. Their work is deeply connected to the Barolo region, where they have carefully expanded their holdings to include eight Barolo Cru vineyards across five villages, with 26 acres in Langhe and 23 in Roero. Their philosophy centers on expressing the unique character of each vineyard, allowing the Nebbiolo grape to reflect its true origins through wines that are complex yet elegant and balanced. Every vine and parcel is treated with precision and care. Beyond their renowned Barolos, the family has also led the revival of Favorita, an inland expression of Vermentino. This effort reflects their commitment to both tradition and innovation, and to capturing the purest expression of Italy's winemaking heritage.
