Hogue Cellars started in Mike Hogue's backyard and became one of the most recognized names in Washington wines. When Mike and Gary launched Hogue Cellars, it was Washington's 19th bonded winery. A series of awards and accolades grew the company from 2,000 cases in 1982 to 5,000 in 1983 to 10,000 in 1984. By 1996, an expansion project was completed, boosting Hogue's production capacity to 400,000 cases. Located in Eastern Washington's Columbia Valley, the premier grape-growing region of the state. The climate and soils of the Columbia Valley produce grapes with intense fruit flavors and high natural acidity. The wines have liveliness and ripe, zesty fruit flavors that make them ideal complements to a wide range of food.
