With this vision, enriched by the experience of four generations, the Rousseau family has come to understand each terroir, each plot, and each vine in the smallest detail. In Burgundy, the Climats designate each vineyard plot. Identified and demarcated by monks over a thousand years ago, each Climat is unique due to the disparity in exposure, the variations in slopes, the different compositions of the limestone soils, and the climatic conditions of the vintage. The estate's mission is to faithfully capture the aromatic palette of the wines: the soul of each Climat.
