Warp and Weft are the intersecting threads that comprise a piece of fabric. This project is the result of the intersection of many different people and the idea that these interwoven 'threads of life" can create something greater than the sum of the parts. Shweshwe is a traditional fabric produced in South Africa, considered the denim of the Western Cape. It is durable, worn by everyone, and rooted in tradition.
